Meet St. George's Staff

the Rev. Paige Blair, Rector

The Rev. Paige Michele Blair, Rector

I began as Rector of St. George's in September 2000. My greatest joy in ministry as a priest is walking with others who are living out their baptismal ministries with joy and enthusiasm. I am honored and humbled to be able to watch from a front row seat as God does amazing things in people's lives, during hard times and in times of rejoicing.

I enjoy writing icons - view some of my icons here.

St. George's has given me so much—the chance to use my talents in the service of others, the chance to make a difference in practical ways and, best of all, wonderful people to work with, both those on staff with me and the parishioners here.

The Rev. Sudie BlanchardThe Rev. Sudie Blanchard, Deacon & Pastoral Associate

When I arrived in Maine in 2001 to work at the York Public Library, I felt instantly drawn to St. George's Church and its welcoming congregation. It didn't take long for this place to feel like "home" to my husband, Peter, and I. It was here that I was able to clearly hear God calling me to ordained ministry, and for that I will always be grateful. The people of St. George's have helped me live into and realize that call. I am thrilled that the Bishop has assigned me to St. George's as I begin ministry here as Deacon.

The Rev. Aaron Perkins

The Rev. Aaron Perkins, Deacon

I'm originally from this part of Maine and have made St. George's my home since 1997. It's very exciting to be assigned to my home parish as Deacon and to have the privilege of serving with some truly extraordinary people. St. George's is alive and growing and I'm thrilled to be able to help support the very important ministries happening both inside and outside the parish.

The Rev. Kit WangThe Rev. Kit Wang, Deacon

"Before being ordained, I always worked in some kind of education field. I’m an accredited Godly Play teacher, and have worked with Journey to Adulthood. I am drawn to teaching, preaching, and sacramental ministry to bring people closer to God."  In addition to being Vicar of St. Stephen the Martyr in Waterboro, Kit coordinates and ministers to the St. George's Berwick Gathering, assists with weekday services and participates in Adult Spiritual Formation offerings."

Kathy Fink, Music Director and OrganistMusic Director & Organist Kathy Fink

I received my BA in Piano Performance and MA in Music History at UNH where I studied piano with Ruth Edwards and voice with Henry Wing.  I have been accompanying choral groups since the age of 9, and performed my first full length musical at 15.  I have worked with many area choirs including the Portsmouth Women's Chorus, the Granite State Choral Society and Amare Cantare, plus my own jazz choir, The Fourth Street Jazz.  I have been seen in "the pit" for many theatrical productions at the Bell Center, Garrison Players, Hackmatack Playhouse, Seacoast Repertory Theatre, Prescott Park, Get-a-Clue Productions and many more.  I was the founding director of the Bell Center in Dover where I taught piano, choir and musical theater for 14 years.  Currently, I maintain a private piano studio at my home in Dover, NH where I live with my husband Greg, son Gabe, and beagle Cookie. I'm thrilled to be part of the St. George's family.  At St. George's, I direct the choir, play the piano and am working on my new organ skills. I'm in charge of lining up guest musicians and I encourage the members of the St George's community to share their musical gifts at services and other parish events. I have great plans for building the music program for all ages to participate in and enjoy.
